Tower Fall General Store, Our home for the summer

We moved into our new home at Tower Fall a few weeks ago. We have a quiet campsite nestled in the sage brush. We are enjoying not having to plan, cook and clean up after meals. The cooks here are doing a great job and we are eating way too much!

It's about a five minute walk down a hill to work each day, we listen to the rushing creek and look for wildflowers on our way. The store sits near the top of a pretty waterfall and next to some cascades which we listen to while we have our breaks.

                                                              This is Tower Fall.

The store is usually busy.  We sell groceries, t-shirts, and gift items, and there is also a small fountain that serves hot dogs and a lot of ice cream. We have a group of guys from the Dominican Republic that scoop the ice cream. Better them than us, because scooping is hard work!!

We usually go hiking on our days off. We've been seeing so many beautiful wildflowers and many different birds (some of which we haven't been able to identify yet.) The falls are all gushing with water now from all the snowfall last winter.

This is Silver Falls

Here we are at work in our uniforms.

The wildflowers are blooming, we see new ones each time we go hiking! I will try to                                            blog again soon!  Have a great summer!
