We are getting excited!!
After
remodeling all our bathrooms and fixing the roof twice, we sold our house last
spring and moved into a rental house.
This was the first step on our road to new
adventures. We plan on taking a long term (possibly permanent) sabbatical
starting in March. We will spend a month packing up and putting
our stuff in storage before we head off across the country in our new fifth
wheel camper (our new home). We have accepted jobs for the summer in the Tower
Fall General Store at Yellowstone National Park as cashiers, where we will work
and play in an amazing part of the country.
We will be there until September when we’ll head off to our next
adventure somewhere else.
We’ve taken our camper on its maiden
voyage and learned that it even has enough hot water for my long showers (as
long as it isn’t tooo long). We’ve tried out all the systems and Grandpa Fenton
even had a good night’s sleep on one of the guest beds. We’ve got our
binoculars, walking sticks and our amazing inflatable kayaks (that fold up into
a large bag), all ready to go! We will “work camp” around the country for as
long as we are having fun (and can afford to continue that lifestyle).
I will try to keep this updated about once a month when we are on the road. Or at least when we have Internet or phone service. We will be in Wilmington until about the first of April when we will head out for a leisurely trip across the country. Wish us luck and keep in touch.
